Research and development
In order to respond to the problems of our clients, we invest in our own development, but we also build with the support of the State, our partnerships with laboratories, industrial clusters and associations.
SINOVIA actively participates in the activity of industrial clusters and networks of excellence, through the CRIITs (Centres for Research Informatics and Information Technology), working with university laboratories and Carnots Institutes, and getting involved in research, development and innovation programmes at a national and European level:
- System@tic Région Paris: At the heart of the digital revolution, the worldwide industrial cluster SYSTEM@TIC PARIS-REGION is a federation of more than 250 industrial, academic and institutional players from the Ile de France region, involved in cooperative R&D projects distributed over four markets with significant value added: Telecoms, Security & Defence, Automobiles & Transport, System Design and Development Tools. Luc Renouil, Commercial Director, is also a member of the Executive Board of the System@tic cluster.
- AdvanCity: The «AdvantCity: Ville et Mobilité Durables» (AdvantCity: Sustainable Town and Mobility) industrial cluster is dedicated to sustainable development. This entails, on the one hand, meeting the economic needs expressed by businesses in the Building and Public Works sector, businesses providing services to groups and to industry, transport operators... as well as the expertise needs of the State and territorial groups, whilst, on the other hand, offering a range of skills stemming from public-sector research.
- Centre Régional d’Innovation et Transfert de Technologie en Ile de France (Regional Centre for Innovation and Technology Transfer - Ile de France region), working in the fields of electronics and IT, participates in the technological development of SME/SMIs in the Ile de France region. It is financed by the Ministry responsible for Research and Technology and the Ile-de-France region, which determines its mission. Its priorities are providing support for technological innovation and publicising key technologies.
SINOVIA is one of the French SMEs forming part of a high-level network:
- Comité Richelieu (Richelieu Committee): National association of innovative SMEs, aimed at re-establishing equilibrium in competitive conditions, whether in terms of access to public markets or large accounts, but also to banks, investors, laboratories or public grants.
- The SME Pact: Convinced of the importance of creating healthy and "win-win" relationships with large account clients, SINOVIA has been heavily involved in the SME Pact, operated in conjunction with the Richelieu Committee and OSEO Innovation The purpose of the SME Pact is to facilitate and reinforce relations between innovative SMEs and their large account clients, in the interests of each of the parties involved.
SINOVIA also enjoys the support of OSEO and COFACE (Compagnie Française d’Assurances pour le Commerce Extérieure - French Export Insurance Firm):
- OSEO: A State-Controlled Company, the purpose of OSEO Innovation is to finance and provide support for SMEs, in conjunction with banks and investment capital companies, at the most decisive stages of their life cycle.
- COFACE: Provides a complete range of guarantees, services and financing solutions to help client-companies manage their trade receivables with precision and ease. The offerings have a modular structure, enabling solutions to be tailored to each company’s specific organization and marketing strategy.
