Terminology

Analogue: an electrical signal is said to be analogue when its information is represented by the variation in its physical size.

PLC: power line carriers (PLC) is the term for the technology that allows the transfer of digital information along electrical power lines.

GPRS: General Packet Radio Service or GPRS is a standard for mobile telephony.
