Supervision of equipments
The supervision of equipments (urban or security alarms for buildings...) focuses all data on a single point, to provide information relating to risk, while establishing the geographical location of people and goods, and constructing a veritable library to assist the decision-making process, based on past events.
Some examples of its use:
Supervision of Central Building Control/Central Technical Control:
The control system permits:
- One or several facilities to be managed, where the terminals are linked by cables,
- The automatic activation of a process in the event of a fault being detected,
- The production of data and statistics, where applicable, to analyse system performance.
Under normal circumstances, the Central Technical Control/Central Building Control system controls the equipment in question and records the data. In the event of a disturbance, it alerts the user and immediately activates the appropriate mode of function (e.g.: alarm, ventilation, calling for first aid).
Fire Control:
An establishment’s fire safety system permits all information or commands linked to fire safety alone to be collected and processed, and the functions required to ensure the safety of the establishment to be activated.
Ensuring the safety of an establishment may entail the following functions:
- compartmentalisation (in the wider sense),
- evacuation of people (sounding the evacuation alarm, management of exits),
- smoke extraction,
- automatic extinction,
- interrupting certain technical installations.
